The course is a South to North course. The birds will fly from Nevada into Southern Idaho. This course typically has strong west winds and some headwinds. There are a number of mountain passes the birds have to navigate, which causes them to have to think and make correct navigational decisions. On the final race the birds will climb from 4,000 ft. elevation to over 6,000 ft. elevation and arrive at the loft which sits at about 3,800 ft. elevation.

  • Rock Creek Classic reserves the right to modify the race locations based upon weather conditions and the condition of the birds.

  • Payout: Prizes paid by first drop split equally. If there isn’t a drop payout will move to clocking order in the 250, 300 and 350-mile races. If a bird does not clock and is known to have been in the drop, the bird will be entered as last bird in that drop.  If there is a tie, the birds will share prize equally.
